A-7.障がい者差別解消の推進 / Promoting the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities

この法律は、障害を理由とする差別の解消の推進に関する基本的な事項や、国の行政機関、地方公共団体等及び民間事業者における障害を理由とする差別を解消するための措置などについて定めることによって、すべての国民が障害の有無によって分け隔てられることなく、相互に人格と個性を尊重し合いながら共生する社会の実現につなげることを目的としています。

The purpose of this act is to realize a society in which all citizens can co-exist without being discriminated against on the basis of whether or not they have a disability, and in which people respect each other’s personality and individuality. This act provides the  basic matters relating to the elimination of discrimination on the basis of disability and provides measures for the elimination of discrimination on the basis of disability among national administrative organs, local governments, etc. and companies.
